This was the day the film got its name. The Amethyst Passage — the settlement’s own corrupted name for the Purple Tube, surviving only in a song — clicked into place and I renamed everything to match. To be clear: the Purple Tube is the route code, the physical thing, like a metro … err, tube, The Amethyst Passage is the title of the film, and in-world it’s the settlement’s own worn-down name for that same Tube, kept alive only in the song.
I worked on some of the in-universe music - leaning perhaps too heavily on Claude and MiniMax Music. It’s amazing how good some of the music sounds.
Alongside the song, I pushed the in-world alphabet forward — added a new character set for the universe.
Also worked on new turnarounds for Pelsa, including a suited-up variant. From my experience so far, getting consistent output out of an image-to-video model depends a lot of having good reference images. As necessary, I will create multiple references (turnarounds) for different states of a character.
